I find it interesting that Christine wrote that the audience should have "expressive" faces to concentrate on, and you replied that YOUR "something to look at in a concert" was the unmatched clothing.

I propose that if the faces (and bodies) are expressive, NO ONE will care what the singers are wearing -- because EVERYONE will have something compelling to look at.

Hmmm .... I think we'll just have to disagree on uniforms Christine! I WANT to be distracted and have something to look at in a concert, otherwise I might as well stay at home and listen on CD.

I wonder if matching lippy and different t-shirts works?

I don't think it's all bad having a choir uniform. It can stop the audience being distracted by the visuals and allow them to concentrate on the music and the faces which should have expressive. Matching lippy is definitely going to far though! :)

Chris, I needed to hear all this right now - I'm being pulled in a few different directions up at school. I will now stick to my guns.

Glad to hear you are resisting the call for matching T-shirts. I think once you go there, you die a little inside. Next thing you know all the women are insisting on wearing the same colour lippy, etc etc. Yuck.
