I do try to promote my blog as much as possible, and have got a link on my FB page. It's slowly building, but I guess not all singers and choir leaders are computer literate!

It's not so much whether I'm singing in tune, but the influence of other voices/parts I find tricky! Being a bit of a chameleon, I find it easy to mutate from one part to another and get lost. I don't know if that's a common problem.

Thank you so much for all of this...all the blogging...ideas and being so willing to share your ideas. I got hold of you through Choralnet.org I appreciate all the ideas, comments and experience you've given. One thing, if it hadn't been for Choralnet I would never have heard of you. On FB create some sort of advertising that will land on people's FB pages. There are people out there who would greatly benefit from your expertise. I'm from Ontario Canada...18 yrs church choir director and am looking at starting my own ladies choir...thanks for your help...Lois

good for you Chris: I think it is right to write what interests you, certainly invite responses and listen too them, but don't stray too far!
As you know, I'm very interested in the "how do I know if / when I am singing in tune?" post (apart from when someone else tells me, I mean!). Is any
one else interested in that one?

Just got this thorugh twitter alert. Keep going, I enjoy reading them and the ideas and thoughts they prompt. Wonder if this will prompt any ideas. I am just about to pull together a group of about 25 people aged 7 - 70 and with varying experiences and skills in singing. They don't do much harmony and they are usually taught in a different way than NVN. I was thinking about writing a blog about this myself. I am going to be directing my first panto and this is going to be the chorus. I feel more confident about other aspects to be honest. Dare I make some changes to the way we do things just because I find it easier to learn songs the NVN way?
