Many of us are waiting for "the day" when everything finally falls into place and we can truly think of ourselves as a singer or choir leader (or writer or parent or ...).
But what if I were to tell you that day will never arrive?
It's as if we're living some kind of provisional life, but in the future, there will come a point when the real thing will happen.
Like those people who are waiting until they win the lottery or the kids leave home or they get one more qualification.
We'll finally be experienced enough, trained enough, free enough, secure enough, confident enough to call ourselves a 'proper ' singer or choir leader.
Yet that day will never arrive. We'll never feel perfect or good enough. There will be yet one more milestone to pass.
Once we've acknowledged that, we can get on with the job by being just 'good enough.'
No more waiting for the perfect moment - it doesn't exist. The time is now!
